Touch Up Policy

We do offer free touch-ups, however, some restrictions apply. please read below and see what is covered for a free touch-up and what is not covered and will be at a client’s expense.

What is Not Covered

Touch-ups requested after one year and tattoos that are done on the hands, wrists, feet, neck, or flexion points are not covered as these areas are naturally prone to fading and rejection.

Failure to comply with our aftercare instructions may result in poor healing and/or a washed-out looking tattoo (i.e. gaps from picking at your healing tattoo, fading from sun/tanning beds, etc.) that will be recognizable by your artist. In these cases, touch-ups will be done at the expense of the client.

Please note that some health conditions and medications taken can slow the healing process making your tattoo more prone to infection as it is exposed to the elements for longer periods. Tattoos are works of art but they are also an open wound. It is the client’s responsibility to care for their tattoo as clinically as possible.

Further rendering of a design or additions to a design are not considered a touch-up.

It’s important that you take your artist’s advice if they discourage a particular style(s) of work in a certain area.

Any touch-up requests for these areas will be at the expense of the client.

What is Covered

Please contact your artist within the first year following the appointment so long as proper aftercare was followed by the client.

There are many different types of skin that react to to trauma from the tattoo process differently. In some cases an artist may need to approach your tattoo more delicately and will need a second go-over in some areas or it over-works easily and may have a harder time healing. As long as there is no obvious signs of poor aftercare as stated above and your tattoo is located in areas not stated above; we as artists stand by our work and want it to look it’s best and will touch-up.

It will be the responsibility of the client to follow up for any touch-up work needed.
